I was invited to photograph Penelope’s first birthday party and it was amazing.  Mom really has such a touch with design and putting things together.  No details was left out – the decorations, the food, and the activities.  She really thought of everything even an activity for the older children.

Before the party, we took some family portraits.  Penelope and her mom were dressed in traditional Korean clothes for these portraits.  The clothes were really beautiful.  The party also included a traditional doljabi.  The parents laid out a few items for Penelope to choose from on a mat.  Her selection would determine her future.   Even though this was done all in the name of fun Penelope did end up choosing the mortar and pestle, like her mom the pharmacist.
