One of my favorite times of year to photograph families is in the spring. For the past two years, I have had a tradition of taking my kids out for portraits near the cherry blossoms.  The colors are always brilliant and bright. This year I had a family schedule a session that coincided with the cherry tree blossoms and the blooming of the lilacs.  There was a particular spot near the lilacs that I LOVED and I wanted to go back so I invited a client turned friend along while I took photos of my daughter.  During the last year or so I’ve been trying to take photos for my friends.  A lot of times it is not this formal; just candids at birthday parties, playdates, etc.  In this case I was bringing my kids out for a specific purpose and it was more enjoyable to have company and to create something special for someone else.

I really love how these turned out and the joy in their two faces.  As an added bonus at the end I included a photos of Sadie with Josie.
